Michael has nearly 40 years of IT experience in the manufacturing, retail, insurance, banking and IT services industries. Prior to joining StoneDonut, he served for over 25 years in IT leadership roles as either IT Director or IT Manager, leading IT organizations in large, medium and small corporate environments. The focus of his experience has been on high performance team building, business and IT strategic planning, and business process improvement / re-engineering, for all of which he has received numerous accolades.
As part of his leadership responsibilities, Michael garnered 20 years of IT project management experience. He has managed IT development projects leveraging a variety of formal methodologies, with an emphasis on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Web Application Development. He also has led multi-year projects integrating ERP systems to legacy systems.
In addition to his business IT experience, Michael was a part-time high school instructor in both computer literacy and advanced computing for five years, and has been teaching adult classes for over 35 years. His post-secondary education was in Computer Science and Psychology. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and The Data Warehouse Institute.
Michael coached high school and club soccer for nearly 25 years, and has directed both off-season training and youth soccer camps for Crestwood High School and Chanel High School. He and his wife, Sue, have four sons, two daughters, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law and two grandchildren.
